BEFORE YOU SEARCH
Read every result as a lead. A matching identifier or registration response does not establish identity, ownership or a relationship between accounts.
01. Using the service
These terms apply to Profile Finder at profilefinder.tools, including its search tools, saved history, optional account connection, blog and support interfaces. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you cannot agree, do not use it. You must have the legal capacity and any authorization needed for your use.
Profile Finder provides a way to organize public-source and account-registration signals. It does not act as an identity-verification service, a background-check provider or a source of certified findings. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
02. What a search provides
A username search checks configured services for responses associated with a handle. An email lookup checks registration-related responses for an address. The browser displays possible matches, extra returned details and a response log. The methodology page explains the current checks and status rules.
Configured coverage is a description of the available checks, not a promise that each service will respond or that every account will be found. A scan can finish with unknown states, blocked requests and errors. Completion describes the request workflow; it does not certify completeness or accuracy.
A matching handle can belong to someone else. A registration signal may not reveal a profile and does not prove mailbox control or account ownership. Returned names, emails and other details can be incomplete, outdated or unrelated. You are responsible for examining source context and independently checking material findings.
03. Your responsibilities
Submit an identifier only when you have an appropriate basis and any required permission to assess it. Keep the work proportionate to its purpose and follow applicable law, source-platform rules and the rights of the people concerned. Public visibility alone does not give permission for every use.
Reasonable uses include reviewing your own footprint, conducting an authorized assessment or following a public reference to check its context. In each case, treat the output as leads. If you share a finding, preserve its uncertainty and avoid presenting a technical signal as a verified statement about a person.
Do not use unverified output to make a consequential decision about someone's employment, housing, credit, insurance or access to opportunities. Profile Finder is not designed to produce reports suitable for those decisions.
04. Uses we do not permit
- Stalking, harassment, doxxing, threats, discrimination, or collecting information to facilitate harm.
- Accessing private accounts or communications, bypassing access controls, obtaining credentials, impersonating another person, or attempting account recovery without authority.
- Spam, unsolicited targeting, or assembling and distributing personal information for abusive purposes.
- Disrupting the service or a source platform, evading rate limits, probing other users' records, or using automated requests that interfere with availability.
- Misrepresenting a result, concealing an error state, or claiming that Profile Finder has verified a person's identity or endorsed your conclusions.
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to respond to misuse, a security issue, excessive load or a legal requirement.
05. Accounts and saved searches
A first-party browser identifier links the current browser to its site record. Google connection is optional. Ordinary searches may create an account record and save history even without Google sign-in. Keep access to your device and browser profile under your control; someone sharing it may be able to see its linked history.
Privacy Mode, when enabled before a scan, skips this site's task and history-saving requests for that scan. The external scan service still receives the query. See the Privacy Policy for the full distinction.
Signing out or clearing cookies does not delete saved records. The workspace provides permanent deletion of an individual task or the current application account and its linked history. Review that choice carefully: the service does not provide an undo. Deletion here does not change records on a source platform or guarantee deletion from provider logs and backups.
06. Inputs and correspondence
You are responsible for the identifiers, messages and other material you submit, including having the rights and permissions needed to provide them. Give us only the information needed to run the query or handle the request. Do not submit passwords, secrets, private messages or unrelated sensitive details.
You allow us and the providers needed to operate the selected workflow to process those inputs for that purpose, as described in the Privacy Policy. Sending a support message does not transfer ownership of your material; it allows us to receive, store and use it to address the request.
A contact-form reference confirms receipt into the support system. It does not guarantee an outcome or a response deadline. Security reports should use a minimal safe example, stop before accessing another person's records, and be sent privately. No bug-bounty payment or safe-harbor undertaking is offered through these terms.
07. Sources and external services
The scanner, source platforms, Google account connection, analytics, fonts and other externally hosted resources are operated separately from Profile Finder. They may be subject to their own terms, privacy practices, access conditions and availability limits. Opening a source takes you to that service.
We do not control third-party content, accounts, platform changes or retention. A logo, icon, link or returned platform name identifies a source and does not imply a partnership or endorsement. Requests to remove or change an original profile should be directed to the platform that controls it; concerns about information held by this site can be sent to us.
08. Content and intellectual property
The site's own design, branding and explanatory content remain subject to their applicable rights. Third-party profile material, names, logos and content belong to their respective rights holders. Open-source software and datasets retain their own license and attribution requirements.
You may use the interface for its intended purposes subject to these terms. This does not give you ownership of source material or permission to reuse it outside the rights available to you. Do not remove required attribution or represent the service as your own.
09. Availability and responsibility
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, exhaustive coverage, error-free results, a particular research outcome or continued availability of a provider. Checks, categories and interfaces may change as source behavior changes.
Use your own judgment before contacting someone, publishing a claim or taking another action based on output. We do not accept responsibility for conclusions drawn from an unverified result or for actions taken on an independent platform.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator and service providers will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunity or loss of data arising from use of the service or reliance on returned content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
10. Changes, questions and concerns
We may update these terms when the service or its operating requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Changes apply from publication unless a different effective date is stated or applicable law requires otherwise.
If something goes wrong, contact [email protected] with the relevant page, a brief description and any existing request reference. We will consider the concern without requiring you to publish personal information to explain it.
These terms do not replace the Privacy Policy or a source platform's rules. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Any dispute remains subject to applicable law and mandatory rights; these terms do not impose a separate arbitration process.
